Chapter 33

In the last chapter, Erin gave birth to her baby, Giles, Guy gave Erin the present for their little one, and Tiana had a warm welcome.

Upon the arrival of Giles, Uncle Andy is the first one to greet him.

My first nephew. We could use another man around the house. I know you’ll get along great with Gerald, Anastasia, and Tiana.

“Welcome to our Family.”

Erin is the next to greet her baby.

“Hey, my baby boy.” She smiles. I wouldn’t believe it, but I am so glad to have him here.

Even though my pregnancy wasn’t the best, I would do anything for this precious life. 

Besides taking care of her baby boy, she spends time painting as her birth gave her bursts of inspiration to create…

a masterpiece.

The other Art Lover of the family, Cornell, spends his time painting as well until he reached level 2…

and spending time with his extended family.

“You know if you need any help with your paintings, I’m your guy.” Guy says in laughter. “Literally and figuratively.”

“Shouldn’t you be directing me to Erin for that?” Cornell says with embarrassment at the corny joke.

“Maybe, but she probably doesn’t want to be bothered after she’s had the baby.” Guy points out. “You know how she can get sometimes.”

“Hmm… now don’t we all?” Tykayla states. Hopefully this baby is what she needs.

“Umm.. well thanks for the offer but I know I’ll be making masterpieces like Erin in no time.” Cornell says with confidence. “Thanks for the offer, Uncle Guy.”

Cornell’s brother, Gerald, has been practicing his mime..

Almost got it.

and spending time with his mother.

“You know mom, I’m getting really good at this mime thing.” Gerald says. “Like extremely good. I can mime my way out of a box.”

“Is that so my handsome boy?” She asks.

“Oh, yes.” He confirms. “I do it all the time during recess. My friends love it. I make them laugh, even the teachers.”

“Even the teachers?” she gasps playfully. “That must be a a tough crowd to get. And you did it all by yourself?”

“Yes mommy.” Gerald says with confidence. “You’re looking at a  mime master.”

Pocahontas could do nothing but laugh at her growing boy.

Along with spending time with her son, she continued to take care of her princess, Tiana.

“Hi, mommy’s princess. Do you need your diaper changed?”

“I know you are hungry too. Drink up.”

and spreading love to her eldest son.

Her husband, Andy, makes time for his family despite his busy work schedule.

“Our youngest son is very special.” Pocahontas tells him.

“You don’t say, my sweet?” Andy says. “Well aren’t all of our children special?”

“Why of course.” Pocahontas confirms. “But he has a star-like quality about him, as though he was born to entertain. Did you hear about his school shows he puts on? Apparently, he does little shows in front of all his friends and peers.”

“No I had not known that.” Andy tells. “That’s wonderful.”

“I know and he loves it. Maybe our little boy could just be a master of mime. or at least a great entertainer.” She enthuses.

“I have no doubts.” He states.

He checks up on Cornell while he does his homework.

“How is school going, son?” He asks.

“Great, Dad. I’m keeping my grades up and working on art projects.” Cornell tells him.

“I’m glad to hear that son. I know you’ll make me proud.” He says.

Anastasia takes the liberty in spending a lot more time with her brother, Cornell. She does homework with him…

eats dinner with him as he does an impression to make her laugh…

… and take a selfie. She loves her big brother.

Anastasia’s Aunt, Cindy, has been spending a lot of quality time with herself after work fishing…

I’m going to get this one.

Got it! 

and gardening as the green thumb she is.

Francesca has directed her attention more away from work and towards the person she has neglected the most, her boyfriend, Elijah.

“Nice for you to stop by, honey.” She greets him at the door.

“You look very well.” He tells her.

“Why yes.” She enthuses. “I just got promoted to Novelist. My workload just got lighter.”

“Well then congratulatons” He kisses her.

“I’ve been waiting awhile to do that again.” He whispers.

Tykayla has been increasing her logic…

and checking up on Anastasia.

Hmm… so she’s doing homework?

No questions today Anastasia? 

Her fiance, Aden, has been spending some time with Anastasia, answering her questions…

“So what are the colors are the wedding?” She asks. “You are going to use the Cindy’s greenhouse right? Don’t you think, Aunt Tykayla will look so pretty?”

“And I am going to be the flower girl right? I know I’ll be a good flower girl walking down the aisle.”

“Why yes, of course. You and Tiana both can be the flower girls of the wedding.”

“What? She can’t throw flowers she’s only a baby.” Anastasia confirms.

“Well I have a feeling, your baby sister will age up in no time.”

and searching for things for the wedding.

Colors? Colors? I thought all weddings were white.

Giles has gotten a lot of attention from his father, as Guy has been trying to spend every minute with him.

My baby boy.

It took almost a lifetime, but I finally have you here.

“How are you doing, today my son? Are you good?”

“I have something big to request of you. I need you to take care of mommy when I’m gone.”

“It was foolish to have fallen in love with such an old man like me. But our love created something that nothing else could have – you.”

I entrust her to you, my son.

When he wasn’t spending time with Giles, he was working out and boxing,

until miss fortune had finally took it’s toll on him.

At least, I finally held my baby boy.

That was my only request to live enough to hold him at least once.

Please take good care of your mother, Giles. 

She’s my everything.

Gerald was the first one to witness his death…

..and for a child, this was a hard concept for him to grasp.

He can’t be really gone right? Uncle Guy… 

Erin was next to witness the tragedy.. and it broke her heart.

“Guy No!” She cries.

What am I to do without you?

This is all my fault. I should’ve never complained about only having one child.

Because now I’ll have to live with only having one child with you. If I’d known, I wouldn’t have been so selfish.

Going back her bedroom to wallow in sorrow.

She is interrupted by the wail of Giles.

“I know baby I know.” She holds him. “He’s not here anymore.”

“It’s only us now.” At least I have the other piece of him.

But with every misfortune, there always has to be a fortune.

“You know what tomorrow is?” Pocahontas talks to her baby girl.

“Your birthday.” she excites. “and what a wonderful princess you will be.”
